Join us for our Huladay Celebration!

Tuesday, December 16, 2025 @ 6:00 pm

Come join us for our yearly holiday celebration, this year we are having a Luau themed potluck!

Holiday Music, Food, Friends, Neighbors and Rolando’s local Santa will be in attendance! We will also have our holiday raffle and activities for kids. Bring a dish or a treat if you can and enjoy some fun times with your neighbors! Throw on a Hawaiian Shirt and bring your hula hoops (hula hoops will also be available if you forget yours).

November Recap

Here are some updates from our general meeting this week:

SANDAG University Ave Bikeway: the mid-city section of the bikeway project is scheduled to begin construction in January. They will also be presenting in our January 20th meeting so if you’d like a sneak peek or to understand this project better please attend!

6405 El Cajon Blvd: the old CVS is planned to become an In and Out Burger! This project is still proceeding and we hope to see construction start in the new year.

Year Round Mosquitoes: The County Vector Control Program presented this month at our General Meeting and recapped the detection of West Nile Virus in mosquitos and explained their prevention recommendations and County pesticide treatments that were used. Make sure to eliminate any standing water puddles especially around easements or other areas that are hard to reach. More info here.

Coffee at the Fire Station!

Our Coffee Tent will be up in front of Fire Station 10 on Saturday, December 6th. Come join us for some free coffee and pastries and meet your neighbors!

Parks and Rec Survey: The City of San Diego wants to hear from you!

Share your ideas, feedback, and priorities for the programs and activities offered at our existing parks and recreation centers across the city. Your input will help shape programming and ensure our recreation centers meet the needs of all San Diegans.

Rolando Street Fair Vendor Applications

The application form to be a Rolando Street Fair Vendor for 2026 is now live! Showcase your art and craft at our Neighborhood Street Fair to thousands of visitors! 2026 marks 100 since Rolando Village was officially opened for development in 1926!

The Rolando Street Fair is the largest event that the Rolando Community Council puts on, bringing thousands of visitors to our small neighborhood. It is a volunteer led event and helps fund the RCC.
