Renovation work at Pendleton Park is moving forward, with the project now approximately 25% complete.
Much of the early site and infrastructure work is already underway or completed, including demolition and salvage, stormwater and tree-protection measures, utility work, installation of a new irrigation water service and meter, storm drain work, playground demolition, and the beginning of site grading and concrete formwork. Work has also started on installation of the new prefabricated comfort station.
As construction continues, neighbors can expect to see some of the park’s most visible new features begin to take shape. Upcoming work includes:
Completing utility connections for the new comfort station
Installing a potable water line for drinking fountains
Building the new picnic area and shade structure
Installing the playground and shade sails
Adding the new entry arbor, walkways, and site furnishings
Developing the new dog park
Installing security lighting and fencing
Completing landscaping and irrigation throughout the park
The City currently anticipates substantial completion in winter 2026–27, with construction wrapping up in spring 2027. As with any major construction project, timing may shift as work progresses, but the park is now well into the construction phase and the community should begin seeing more of the finished design emerge over the coming months.
