RCC Meeting Tuesday, December 19 @ 6:00 pm – HOLIDAY PARTY!

Come join us for our public meeting and holiday celebration with the RCC @ UDW 4855 Seminole Drive, San Diego, CA 92115

Come and enjoy the music and merriment with your neighbors.  We will have some bites from Terra, Wei Wei and Corbin’s to nosh on.  Bring a dish to share (savory or sweet) and warm up with some sips from the hot cocoa station.  We will even have some Rolando swag for purchase and giveaways.

Kids are absolutely welcome to come and we will have a craft station and SANTA will be joining us to hear their wishes for the holidays.  Yes, Santa, we know him!

We will also have a few vendors for last minute shopping for unique gifts.  If you are a Rolando vendor, reach out or connect us, we have space for 4-5 and would love to celebrate the craftiness of our community.  Email Kirstie for more information: [email protected]

Can’t wait, when do we get to decorate the Rolando Triangle?

The Rolando Community Council, Community Improvement Team will be decorating and sprucing up the Triangle this upcoming Saturday 12/2 at 9 am.

Just come to the Rolando Village sign at Shannon Drive and Rolando Boulevard just south of El Cajon Boulevard. If you’d like to garden, please bring your own tools. The gardening may entail trimming back the lavender and geraniums, trimming the low branches on the tree in front of our new Rolando Village sign, placing bark mulch and planting some bulbs. Bob will have an extension ladder to put up garland on the lampposts and a step ladder to hang ornaments from the trees. With extra time, the group will set to clean up litter as well.  Please let me know if you can join in by emailing or texting Bob. Hope to see you then–Bring a friend!

Rolando Annual Holiday Home Decoration Contest is here!

The Rolando Community Council proudly presents the 2023 Holiday Home Decoration Contest. Ho-ho-hooray!  Will the Star Wars house win again?  Will there be MORE Santa Cows?  Will there be snow machines?  Trees wrapped like candy canes?  If you know, you know.  Only one way to find out.  Be watching on social media for the list of houses and keep your eyes ready for the list via newsletter after the 11th.  

We need nominations to be in by Monday, December 11.  Please send in your nomination along with the best contact information for that house.  (We want to make sure that house is ok with their photo on Social Media.)  

Anyone who is reading this is welcome to be a judge. Go out into our beautiful neighborhood and enjoy the glow of the season. Here is how it works:

1. Each member of the household gets a vote, actually three votes; each member picks their top three favorite houses

2. Voting will run December 15-31.

3. Votes must be in by December 31.

4. Winners will be announced the first week of January.

Yes!  There are will be gifts cards given to winners.
